Gjorgi Gjorgiev says goodbye to the Jurassic Army after a year. He played in 22 matches in yellow and green colors.
Gjorgi Gjorgiev spent a year in Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie. The Macedonian setter played in 22 games: 21 in PlusLiga and one in the Polish Cup.
– I will only have good and positive memories. I met new friends here and I think it will be friendship for a lifetime. It has been a difficult year for everyone because of COVID and everything was closed. But I bring only good memories. From volleyball, from friends, from everything, only good from Zawiercie. I cannot say anything bad, from club side everything was perfect – Gjorgiev says.
Throughout the season, Gjorgi Gjorgiev scored 15 points, including 11 blocks and one ace. His highlight was the away battle with Stal Nysa, in which he scored 8 times, including 5 blocks.
– COVID disease during the preseason had a strong impact on Gjorgi’s shape. He was returning to his level for a long time. When he finally found it, he showed in the second part of the season how valuable player he is. He was also bringing positive attitude for the whole year. We sincerely thank him for this good energy and professionalism, and wish him good luck in his future career – the club’s President Kryspin Baran says.
